Pita & Chocolat

A blog dedicated to my version of modern Jewish cuisine that I wish to share with you.

Welcome to Pita&Chocolat!

My name is Chloé, passionate about cooking and author of this blog for almost 10 years. I love discovering culinary trends and have a soft spot for world cuisine. I share with you kosher recipes and tips for a delicious, healthy, and varied everyday life.

I lived 25 years in Paris before moving to Israel.

The flavors and spices discovered during my travels and my life in Israel have influenced my cooking, and I try to give them a special place (and I hope you will too soon!).

Why Pita & Chocolat?

This evokes two phases of life. I appreciate both foods and they are always in my kitchen, the first being a staple ingredient of Israeli cuisine and the other an essential part of French tradition.

What is modern Jewish cuisine?

My vision of modern Jewish cuisine is a blend of traditional dishes that are part of our family history and grace our holiday tables, but also the addition of cuisine from elsewhere, memories of our travels and encounters, with recipes adapted according to Jewish dietary laws, Kashrut - that’s the special feature of this blog.

What can you find on the blog?

Varied, original recipes for everyday meals and holidays, vegetarian recipes, kid-friendly dishes, recipes for entertaining, tips and tricks to succeed, but also the Pita&Chocolat Magazine a bi-monthly not to be missed containing exclusive recipes and articles! There are also lovely ebooks of recipes for Shavuot, small French-Hebrew-phonetic guides, for fish, meats and dairy products, for those who have moved to Israel and feel a bit lost with local products.
