- 20 cherry tomatoes (preferably different colors)
- 150g (¾ cup) sugar
- 150g (½ cup) honey
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp balsamic glaze
- A splash of lemon juice (optional)
For decorating
- sesame seeds or poppy seeds mix
Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes. Pierce each with a toothpick or mini skewer.
In a saucepan, combine the honey and sugar, letting it caramelize without stirring. Once the sugar has melted and thickened into caramel, add the remaining ingredients.
Gently dip a tomato in the balsamic caramel, then roll it in the sesame seeds. Place on a serving plate and continue until all ingredients are used.
