- 6 ripe tomatoes
- 3 balls fresh mozzarella
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- Quality olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar glaze
- Salt, pepper
- In a serving bowl, slice the tomatoes into medium-sized rounds, then slice the mozzarella.
- Chop the basil.
- Drizzle with olive oil, then the balsamic vinegar glaze. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve chilled with fresh bread or bruschetta.
Variation
- For an appetizer version, thread cherry tomatoes, small mozzarella balls, basil leaves, and garlic croutons onto small skewers.
