Ingredients

Check off ingredients as you go

  • Makes about 20 mendiants
  • 200g (7 oz) dark chocolate
  • About 20 of each (unsalted of course)
  • hazelnuts
  • almonds
  • cranberries or candied orange peel
  • raisins
  • pistachios
  1. Melt the chocolate bar in a double boiler.

  2. On a silicone mat or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, use a tablespoon or piping bag to form small circles, flattening with the back of the spoon, then arrange the dried fruits and nuts harmoniously on top.

  3. Refrigerate until the chocolate is completely set, and you’re done! Using a spatula, gently lift them off and store in a glass container. Take them out at the last moment so the mendiants don’t melt.

Tips and Variations

  • Vary the nuts according to your taste and what you have in your pantry (cashews, pecans, walnuts…) same for the dried fruits (goji berries, dried or candied fruits…)
