Serves 6
- 4 red and/or yellow onions
- a drizzle of olive oil
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Drizzle olive oil on a baking sheet.
- Cut both ends off the onions, then cut in half and remove the outer layer which is usually dirty.

- Place the onions on the baking sheet, cut side down, and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the onions are tender and caramelized. Smaller ones take less time than larger ones, so keep an eye on them until they reach your desired consistency. Red onions generally caramelize faster.


These onions are delicious enjoyed with warm homemade pita and hummus!
