    For 22 club sandwiches

    • 33 slices sandwich bread (2 packages)
    • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
    • 1 tbsp mustard
    • a few sprigs of dill
    • 1 head lettuce
    • 5-6 tomatoes
    • cucumber cut into thin slices
    • 500g (1 lb) smoked salmon

These club sandwiches are excellent and ideal for appetizers, a picnic, a buffet dinner, or any good excuse to have a complete cold meal.

    Preparing the Filling

    1. Start by cutting the tomatoes and cucumber into thin rounds, the lettuce into strips. Place the ingredients in three separate containers.

    2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, dill, and mustard.

    Assembling the Sandwiches

    1. Place three slices of sandwich bread in front of you, spread a thin layer of cream cheese sauce on each slice. Place salmon on the first slice, then tomato and lettuce. Close with the second slice, cream cheese side facing the salad. Repeat the operation by adding salmon, tomato, and lettuce. Close with the third slice, mayonnaise side against the filling.

    2. Hold the sandwich firmly and cut diagonally in half with a knife. Insert a toothpick to hold it together and place on a serving platter.

    Tips and Variations

You can replace the salmon with canned tuna, or make it slightly differently with mayonnaise for a chicken club sandwich, or even with crab sticks or sliced hard-boiled eggs.
