Scandinavian Mustard Dill Sauce

This honey mustard dill sauce is a Scandinavian sauce found in both Sweden and Denmark. It pairs perfectly with the famous gravlax salmon but also with fish in general.

Ingredients

    For 1 large bowl

    • 2 tbsp mild mustard
    • 1 tbsp honey (or sugar)
    • 6 to 8 tbsp neutral oil (sunflower)
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or wine vinegar)
    • 1 good handful of chopped fresh dill
    • Salt, pepper
    1. In a large bowl, combine the mustard, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.

    2. Drizzle in the oil while whisking, as you would for a vinaigrette. Once well emulsified, stir in the chopped dill.

    This honey mustard dill sauce pairs beautifully with all kinds of fish, gravlax salmon, steamed potatoes, or raw vegetables.
